In short: FundedNext Futures Excess Contracts + Discount Code CFP
Understand FundedNext Futures excess-contract deductions, retained losses and stage-specific limits, with Legacy pricing using verified discount code CFP.
Last updated
FundedNext Futures deducts profits earned on contracts above the permitted position limit, while losses on those excess contracts still count. Its current models use fixed limits rather than profit-based scaling. Verified code CFP remains the site's 50% purchase offer; it does not add contract capacity or remove an execution violation.

An accepted order can still exceed the rules
The current contract policy defines the limit by model, size and stage. It says that excess contracts are the violating portion: their profit is removed and their losses remain. Its allowance does not grow simply because the account has made money.
This creates an important distinction between execution and eligibility. Seeing a fill in the trading platform answers whether the order executed. It does not prove that the resulting profit qualifies under the firm's contract policy. Review position quantity before submission rather than relying on the platform to reject every prohibited order.
A worked excess-contract ledger
Assume a permitted ceiling of four e-minis and an illustrative order of five. One contract is above the limit. If each contract produces a $40 gross gain, the displayed gross result is $200, but the excess contract's $40 profit is subject to deduction. The remaining $160 is before commissions and every other relevant adjustment.
For a losing example, five contracts losing $40 each create a $200 loss. The policy does not credit back the excess contract's $40 loss. The violation has asymmetric treatment: it can reduce retained gains without reducing the loss suffered.
| Illustrative result | Five-contract gross result | Excess-contract treatment | Result before other charges |
|---|---|---|---|
| $40 gain per contract | $200 gain | $40 gain removed | $160 gain |
| $40 loss per contract | $200 loss | Loss remains counted | $200 loss |
These calculations assume identical fills and per-contract results for explanation. Real partial fills, commissions and trade grouping can make the review more complicated. Keep the execution report and use the firm's actual adjustment record; do not treat the example as a guaranteed payout calculation.
Model and stage identify the ceiling
The Legacy funded-account rules list funded limits of three, five and seven e-minis for $25K, $50K and $100K. The Legacy program page lists challenge limits of two, three and five respectively. Passing therefore changes the relevant stage-specific number.
For the current Rapid paths, the Rapid Pro funded rules keep two, four and six e-minis for $25K, $50K and $100K. These match the current challenge limits. Legacy's higher funded allowance should not be copied into Rapid merely because both accounts have the same nominal balance.
| Program and size | Challenge allowance | FundedNext Account allowance |
|---|---|---|
| Legacy $25K | 2 minis / 20 micros | 3 minis / 30 micros |
| Legacy $50K | 3 minis / 30 micros | 5 minis / 50 micros |
| Legacy $100K | 5 minis / 50 micros | 7 minis / 70 micros |
| Rapid Pro or Daily $50K | 4 minis / 40 micros | 4 minis / 40 micros |
Record the model name precisely. Older Rapid and Bolt documents can describe different ratios; a historical table should not replace the current Rapid Pro or Daily specification.
Combine mini and micro exposure once
Under a 1:10 allowance, two minis plus 15 micros use 35 micro-equivalent units. On a four-mini ceiling, that leaves five micro units. Adding one more mini would raise the total to 45 and exceed the 40-unit allowance.
Count simultaneous exposure across the account instead of treating each order ticket as an independent ceiling. A quantity preset should be checked against positions already open, not just against the maximum printed on the account card. Pending fills can also change exposure quickly, so an order-management checklist should include working orders.
This arithmetic measures the firm's limit. It does not establish that every allowed combination has suitable dollar risk. Instrument value, stop distance, fees and the remaining loss boundary need their own checks.

USD figures exclude taxes, resets and separately priced extras. The final fee is rounded to cents, then savings are calculated as base minus final fee. These are calculated purchase comparisons using the verified offer. Confirm the accepted code and total for the selected order.
The same-size fee and risk comparison covers account selection. Here, the central concern is keeping execution quantities and profit adjustments consistent with the purchased program.
Reconcile the trade record before requesting a reward
Use a short audit trail: account identifier, program, stage, permitted quantity, actual simultaneous quantity and any reported adjustment. If a discrepancy appears, preserve order IDs and execution timestamps before seeking clarification. A screenshot of the account's headline profit alone may omit the trades responsible for a later deduction.
The maximum-loss explanation separately explains that floating losses can breach the account's overall threshold. Remaining within the contract cap therefore does not establish loss-rule compliance. A valid position count can still carry too much exposure for the available room.
Apply CFP and prepare order quantities
- Choose the exact Futures program and size.
- Apply CFP and confirm the accepted purchase total.
- Save the account terms and stage-specific contract limit.
- Set order presets below the relevant maximum.
- Include existing positions and possible pending fills in the quantity check.
- Review any excess-contract adjustment before relying on displayed profit.
FAQ
Does profit automatically unlock more contracts?
No. Current limits are fixed by model, size and stage.
Are losses on excess contracts removed?
The policy says they remain counted; profits on the excess portion are deducted.
Does the mini allowance sit on top of the micro allowance?
No. They express the same capacity using the model's mixing ratio.
Does a successful fill prove rule compliance?
No. Execution and the firm's eligibility review are separate checks.
Does CFP increase the contract cap?
No. The purchase discount does not change position permission.
