Quick answer

In short: Funded Futures Family Scalping Rules + Coupon Code COMPARE

FFF requires both a majority of trades and a majority of profits to come from positions held longer than ten seconds. It also has a separate weekly activity rule for each account. A ten-second activity trade does not, by itself, demonstrate compliance with the longer-than-ten-seconds majority test. Official information checked on 5 October 2026.

Funded Futures Family's trading-method rules apply even when you buy a discounted evaluation. Code COMPARE is the site's offer for 80% off Velocity, 40% off the first five Premier+ code uses and 30% afterward, and 30% off Prime. Before choosing a plan for scalping, check trade duration, profit attribution and weekly account activity separately.

The official Velocity price guide supplies the regular fees. These calculations cover the base evaluation, not taxes, resets or optional Daily Payout and EOD extras. Renewal coupon coverage is not established. The full FFF deal separates the Premier+ tiers and Prime prices; the 80% rate does not apply to those plans.

Two tests, not one average holding time

The micro-scalping policy sets two majority requirements: more than 50% of trades and more than 50% of total profits must arise from positions longer than ten seconds. It applies during evaluation and funded trading. Exactly half is insufficient. Violations can lead to payout refusal, profit adjustment or closure.

For an illustrative trade-count calculation, suppose a record contains 20 trades, 11 lasting longer than ten seconds and nine shorter trades. The first group represents 55% of the count. That clears the numerical count condition but says nothing about which group generated most of the profits.

Now suppose the longer trades generated $400 and the shorter trades $600, with no losing trades in this simplified example. The longer group contributes only 40% of the $1,000 total. A favorable trade-count percentage cannot fix the separate profit test. These are arithmetic illustrations, not approval predictions or a recommendation to hold a losing position to satisfy a stopwatch.

Average duration can also hide the problem. One very long position can lift an average while most entries remain extremely short. Keep separate records rather than substituting the average for either required percentage. Ask the firm how partial fills and losses are classified if the report does not provide an unambiguous breakdown.

Weekly activity is an account-by-account obligation

FFF's idle-time policy requires at least one trade of ten seconds or more in each Monday–Friday week, for every account. A whole idle trading week can cause irreversible closure. The policy invites advance contact when planning a break; it does not promise an automatic exception.

A useful tracking sheet therefore needs one row per account, not merely one row per trader. If three accounts are open and only one has activity, record the other two as separate unresolved items. Include account identifier, last completed trade date, duration and any written support agreement. This is recordkeeping guidance rather than a suggestion to place unnecessary trades.

Notice the boundary: the inactivity rule says a minimum of ten seconds, while the majority rule says longer than ten seconds. Preserve the exact distinction. Do not label a trade lasting precisely ten seconds as longer than ten seconds.

Manual scalping and automation are different questions

The bots and algorithms policy prohibits bot or algorithmic trading. It also says VPNs and VPSs are permitted. Permission to use infrastructure does not authorize an automated trading strategy. A strategy that clears a duration calculation may still fail a different trading-method rule.

Before purchasing, describe any automation to the firm accurately, including what submits orders and what merely displays information. Keep its answer with your account terms. Do not assume a tool is permitted because it is popular or because another prop firm accepts it.

Build a practical compliance record

  1. Save the selected account's rules and purchase date.
  2. Export completed trades with timestamps and realized results.
  3. Calculate the share lasting longer than ten seconds without rounding a borderline result upward.
  4. Track profit attribution separately from trade count.
  5. Review weekly activity for each account and raise planned absences beforehand.
  6. Check unresolved classifications with the firm before relying on a payout estimate.

The plan-comparison article discusses account structure. This guide addresses trading-method and inactivity compliance, which a plan comparison alone does not settle.

Applying the COMPARE coupon

  1. Select the plan and size on the official FFF site.
  2. Check the regular base fee and separate optional charges.
  3. Enter COMPARE in the promotion field.
  4. Check the accepted rate, Premier+ usage tier if relevant, final amount and renewal terms.
  5. Save the order and account agreement before trading.

A lower purchase fee does not buy an exception to the trading rules. Accounts can still fail, and simulated results do not guarantee payouts or a live-account transition.

FAQ

Is a 50% share enough for the micro-scalping test?

The policy requires more than 50%, for both trade count and profits.

Does meeting the weekly activity rule prove the duration policy is satisfied?

No. Weekly activity and the majority tests measure different things.

Can activity in one account keep every account active?

The idle-time policy applies individually to each account.

Does COMPARE remove trading-method restrictions?

No. It is a purchase discount, not a rule modification.

Does the 80% rate cover Prime?

The site's Prime rate is 30%. Velocity has the recorded 80% rate.

Are the displayed prices tested checkout quotes?

They are calculations from the site's offer and official regular fees. The accepted order total determines payment. Affiliate disclosure: this site may earn a commission from referred purchases. That does not change the firm's trading conditions.
