Quick answer

In short: FFF Prime Protected Payout Buffer + Discount Code COMPARE

Separate Prime’s protected buffer, cycle target and withdrawal cap, with first/later payout examples and COMPARE pricing.

Last updated

Prime's protected buffer must remain in the account after a withdrawal. A $50K Prime account has a $52,100 buffer, so a $53,000 balance provides $900 above it before other payout limits and requirements are applied. Verified code COMPARE gives 30% off Prime. The 80% Velocity discount and Premier+ usage tiers are separate offers.

This guide addresses how much balance can be considered for a payout, rather than which FFF plan is cheapest. For the wider comparison, see the program comparison and current FFF deal.

Three amounts to keep separate

The Prime payout policy defines a cycle profit target, a nonwithdrawable buffer and a maximum request. These answer different questions: did the cycle produce enough new profit, how much balance must stay, and how much may be requested at most?

Account sizeProtected balanceFirst request capLater request cap
$25K$26,100$1,000$1,500
$50K$52,100$2,000$2,500
$100K$103,100$3,000$3,500
$150K$154,600$3,500$4,000

A cap is not an amount earned by purchasing the account. If the $50K balance is $53,000, the $2,000 first cap does not create permission to take $2,000. Only $900 lies above the protected balance before applying the rest of the policy.

Compare two first-request scenarios

For an illustrative $50K account, compare these situations after all trading-day and consistency checks have been separately satisfied:

ScenarioCurrent balanceExcess over $52,100First capArithmetic ceiling before other checks
Limited buffer surplus$53,000$900$2,000$900
Larger buffer surplus$55,000$2,900$2,000$2,000

In the first scenario, the protected balance limits the amount. In the second, the request cap is tighter. A planning worksheet should retain both numbers instead of selecting whichever looks more attractive.

A hypothetical $800 approved gross payout under the 90/10 split would allocate $720 to the trader before separate payment charges. The requested amount and the trader's net receipt are different values. No illustrated amount is a guarantee of acceptance or a recommendation to withdraw every available dollar.

A later cycle starts with fresh requirements

The Prime consistency policy resets its calculation after each approved payout. The largest profitable day must not exceed 40% of cycle profit.

Suppose the next cycle's net results are $500, $300 and $200. Total profit is $1,000, but the $500 day represents 50%. Another $250 of net profit, without increasing the largest day, would make it 40% of $1,250. A remaining buffer surplus from an earlier cycle does not erase this current-cycle test.

The plan also requires qualifying days and the relevant profit objective between requests. Record day count, daily result, cycle net profit and balance separately. A later request has a higher published cap, but that does not waive the buffer or restart conditions.

These purchase calculations do not establish coupon coverage on every renewal or funded reset. Max increases the position ceiling; it does not purchase a lower buffer or a different payout test. Compare actual position needs before paying for a larger allowance.

Keep behavior rules in the same checklist

Passing the arithmetic checks is only part of an account review. The trading-method and inactivity guide covers requirements that can matter even when the payout figures look correct. A coupon does not change the firm's trading restrictions or the agreement governing simulated accounts.

Maintain a dated record of the account version, payout cycle, latest approved deduction and any open request. Avoid treating the purchase receipt as proof of future income. Evaluation fees can be lost if the account fails, and possible payouts remain conditional.

Applying COMPARE and planning a withdrawal

  1. Select Prime, account size and Included or Max position option.
  2. Review the standard monthly fee separately from extras.
  3. Apply COMPARE for the 30% Prime offer and record renewal terms.
  4. Once funded, identify the protected balance and current cycle.
  5. Check trading days, cycle performance and consistency.
  6. Limit the proposed request to the smaller of buffer surplus and applicable cap, subject to all other rules.
  7. Save the request record and review the remaining account balance.

FAQ

Can the Prime buffer be withdrawn?

No. The dedicated payout policy requires it to remain in the account.

Does the $50K first cap guarantee a $2,000 payout?

No. The account needs enough excess over the protected buffer and must meet all other requirements.

Does Prime Max have a smaller buffer?

The published Prime versions differ in position ceiling and price, not these payout requirements.

Is the Prime coupon 80% off?

Prime is 30% with COMPARE. The 80% offer belongs to Velocity.

Does the consistency calculation restart after a payout?

Yes. The official Prime consistency policy resets it after each approved payout.

Are the displayed fees guaranteed on every renewal?

The tables calculate the base purchase discount. Renewal and reset coverage should not be inferred from that calculation.
